Health & Safety


PMS offers advice and assistance in all areas of H&S including insustrial, chemical, electrical, food hygiene, the Fire Precautions Act, Construction & Design Management (CDM), Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH), site safety, machinery, VDU operation and office environment. In most cases, we provide a one-to-one consultation at our premises followed by an on-site consultation once the level of service required had been agreed. We will issue a full written report on completion.


Safety Policies

Companies with five or more employees are legally obliged to have a written H&S policy. PMS can undertake this task for you, producing the necessary documentation to ensure that your company complies with current regulations.The policies are written specifically for your organisation depending on the number of employees and the complexity of safety management required.

Risk Assessment

To comply with H&S regulation, companies must undertake a risk assessment of any operations in which they are engaged. Such operations include any form of construction, movement of plant or machinery, metal working, ground work, use of gases, hot works - in short any operation that could conceivably cause a hazard to health. PMS will carry out this assessment for you and, with the aid of training, we can tutor you to perform similar assessments in the future

Fire Risk Assessment

Fire Safety Regulations require you to carry out a fire risk assessment. Again, PMS can do this for you and train you or your staff to deal with any future requirements.
